CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Neumann University Men's Hockey team were handed a 4-1 loss against the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons in a non-conference game on Saturday night.
The first period remained scoreless until the 8:20 mark when SUNY Cortland took a 1-0 lead. After a scoreless second, the Knights struck back in the third.
Tyler Kulas knocked home a
Tony Andrews rebound for his sixth goal of the year.
Three and a half minutes later, the Red Dragons retook the lead and didn't look back. They scored again with 3:35 left and closed the game with an empty-netter with 29 seconds remaining.
In addition to his assist, Andrews led with six shots on goal.
Tyler Inlow added four while he was strong in the faceoff circle, winning 12 draws.
Logan Gorbitz made 31 saves between the pipes.
Neumann(5-6, 5-4 UCHC) will return after the holiday break for a conference matchup against Utica University. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
