ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Hockey team battled the seventh ranked team in the country but ultimately dropped a 4-0 decision to the Utica University Pioneers on Friday night.
 
After a scoreless first period, Utica took a 1-0 lead just over four minutes into the second. They doubled their lead with 1:11 left in the frame. The Pioneers added a power play marker and an empty netter, both in the third, to secure the win.
 
Tyler Kulas led the Knights offensive effort with five shots on goal. Tyler Kennedy and Luke Croucher contributed two shots each. Max Mila helped defensively with three blocked shots. Cole DeFazio made 41 saves between the pipes.
 
Neumann(5-7, 5-5 UCHC) will once again take on Utica University on Saturday afternoon from the IceWorks Skating Complex. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
