Knights Drop Road Game at Nazareth

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Neumann University Men's ice hockey team suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of their United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) rivals, the Nazareth College Golden Flyers, on Friday evening.

After 16 minutes of nearly even hockey, Nazareth picked up their first goal of the game with 3:41 on the clock. Although the Knights kept the one goal deficit alive for the rest of the period, the Golden Flyers struck again at 9:37 of the second to double their advantage. With 8:04 left in the third, Nazareth fired home a power play goal for a 3-0 lead.

Despite the loss, Neumann netminder, Cole DeFazio, had a solid performance, making 40 saves in an effort to keep his squad close in the game. Luke Croucher led the offensive attack with three shots while winning all three draws he took. Chase Cochran, Nate Dunning, Cameron Hatziioannou, and Matt King had two shots each.

Neumann (6-16, 4-13 UCHC) will be back in action tomorrow afternoon for another road match-up with Nazareth. The game is scheduled for a 1pm start.
