RYE, N.Y. – The Neumann University Women's Ice Hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to the Manhattanville College Valiants in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) game on Friday night..
 
It was a quick start for Manhattanville as they took a 1-0 lead, 2:31 into the game. Although Neumann was outshot 40-18 after two periods, the scoreline stayed the same. 53 seconds into the third, the Valiants doubled their advantage on a power play goal. Manhattanville picked up two more goals in the latter stages of regulation to close out the win.
 
Michelle Winand-Bacon did all she could between the pipes, making 51 saves. Jasmine Martinez had a strong effort in the face-off dot as she won four of the five draws she took. Georgia Wunder and Emma Tauken helped on the defensive side of the game, each picking up three blocked shots. Taylor Ettore led the offensive push with six shots on goal.
 
Neumann (6-17, 5-14 UCHC) will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, once again against Manhattanville, to close out the 2022-23 season. Game time is scheduled for 3pm.
