ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Lacrosse team were dealt a 10-1 loss by the Bryn Mawr College Owls in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Bryn Mawr opened the scoring 2:50 into the game notching two more goals in the quarter for a 3-0 lead after one. The Owls pulled away in the second quarter with four more goals for a seven goal advantage at the break. Bryn Mawr got to double-digits with three more goals in the third. Neumann scored the lone goal of the fourth quarter when
Brylin Adams fought through goal-mouth traffic for her first of the season.
Maggie Miller led the Knights attack with five shot attempts.
Jayana Murray and Adams had four shots each, combining for five shots on goal. On the defensive side of the ball,
Lauren Carson caused five turnovers while Miller forced two.
Catriona Corrigan and
Ava Irwin combined for six saves in goal.
Neumann (0-1) will be back in action on Wednesday afternoon when they hit road for a non-conference match-up against the Marlins from Virginia Wesleyan University. The game is scheduled for a 4pm start.
