LANCASTER, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team defeated Lancaster Bible College 15-4 on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.
Neumann spread out the scoring as eight Knights found the back of the net.
Jayana Murray scored three times.
Lauren Carson,
Maggie Miller,
Brylin Adams,
Lindsey Fagan and
Alison Mallon each scored a pair.
Maggie Blemings added a goal and four assists.
Ally Joly tallied a goal and assist.
Catriona Corrigan made three saves in net for the win.
The Knights didn't waste any time, scoring just 1:16 into the game. Neumann went on to score seven goals in the first quarter to hold a 7-2 advantage after the first 15 minutes. The Knights scored the only two goals of the second quarter for a 9-2 lead at halftime.
Murray scored two of her goals to open the third quarter and put the Knights up 11-2. Fagan scored with 1:01 left in the third for a 13-3 advantage heading into the final quarter. Mallon and Blemings rounded out the scoring for Neumann in the fourth for the 15-4 final.
Neumann (6-1) returns home on Saturday to host Hood College beginning at 12:00 PM.
