BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team wrapped up non-conference action with a 15-6 win at Bryn Athyn College on Saturday afternoon.
Lindsey Fagan led the Knights with six goals and seven draw controls.
Brylin Adams tallied three draw controls, two goals and an assist.
Maggie Blemings added three helpers.
Jayana Murray and
Alison Mallon each added a pair of goals.
Kara Dietrich,
Lauren Carson and
Ally Joly rounded out the scorers for the Knights.
Catriona Corrigan made nine saves in net for the win.
Adams opened the scoring for Neumann 3:14 into the game and then added her second goal four minutes later for a 2-0 lead. Murray and Fagan also scored in the first quarter for 4-0 Knights lead after the first 15 minutes.
The Lions scored their first goal to open the second quarter. Fagan answered with two straight goals and a 6-1 Neumann lead. After a Bryn Athyn goal, Mallon rounded out the scoring of the first half for a 7-2 score heading into halftime.
Each team netted three goals in the third quarter and Neumann held a 10-5 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. The Knights scored five straight goals in the fourth quarter for a 15-5 lead with five minutes left in regulation. The Lions capped the scoring with a minute left for the 15-6 final.
Neumann (8-2) opened conference action on Wednesday when it heads to Cabrini beginning at 4:00 PM.
