ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team dropped a pair of Atlantic East Conference matches on Saturday and Sunday. At Marymount on Saturday, the Knights battled in a close 6-3 match. Back home on Sunday, Neumann fell 8-1 to Marywood.
At Marymount,
Kaitlyn Smith and
Alura Troilo picked up an 8-2 win at second doubles. All singles matches were played as super sets in order to get the matches in around the weather.
Dari Troilo won her second singles match 10-2. Al. Troilo won 10-3 at fourth singles.
Against the Pacers, Al. Troilo won 6-2, 6-4 at fourth singles for the Knights' long point of the match.
Neumann (2-3, 1-3 Atlantic East) will host Cedar Crest on Tuesday in a tune-up before the conference championship. Action is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
