ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team fell to Marywood University 9-6 on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action.
 
Prior to the game, the Knights honored their seniors: Jayana Murray, Ally Joly, Kara Dietrich, Brylin Adams, Alison Mallon, Brynn Adams and Catriona Corrigan.
 
Lindsey Fagan led the Knights with four goals and four draw controls. Bryl. Adams tallied a goal and an assist. Murray also added a goal. Corrigan made seven saves in net.
 
The first half was quiet as the Pacers score two goals in the first quarter and one in the second for a 3-0 lead at the half.
 
Fagan broke through just minutes into the third quarter to put the Knights on the board. Marywood answered with two goals and a 5-1 lead. Neumann went on to score four of the next five goals for a 6-5 score heading into the final quarter.
 
The Knights had chances to tie the game in the fourth but could not find the back of the net. The Pacers tallied three goals in the fourth for a 9-5 game. Fagan tallied the final goal of the game with 1:17 left in regulation, but Neumann could not pull any closer.
 
Neumann (10-5, 2-3 Atlantic East) will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday when it hosts Centenary beginning at 4:00 PM.
