COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team took a 3-1 win at Ursinus College on Wednesday evening.
Regan Hickey led three Knights in double-digit kills with 14.
Lauren Garvey tallied 11 kills and
Naye Cruz added 10.
Dani Smith handed out 39 assists.
Claudia Bournazel notched 23 digs while Smith added 18.
The Knights came away with a back and forth win in the first set on a service ace by Smith for a 25-22 win. The second set was much of the same, but the Bears came out with the 25-22 win to tie the match at one.
In set three, down 3-2 the Knights scored six straight points to take an 8-3 edge. Neumann sealed the 25-19 win with a kill by
Jules Dill. The Knights used a 9-point run en route to a 25-14 set four win for a 3-1 match win. Smith notched a service ace to get Neumann to match point and then won on an attack error by the Bears.
Neumann (2-3) heads north to the Vassar Quad this weekend. The Knights will face Vassar on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
