IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team had five players score in double-figures in a 78-67 win at Immaculata University on Saturday in Atlantic East Conference action.
 
Jalen Vaughns led five Knights in double-digits with 21 points. TJ Lewis tallied 18 points. Jarell Keel had a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. He also went 10-for-10 from the free throw line and added four blocked shots. Kyle Thompson netted 11 points and Amari Little added 10.
 
The teams traded baskets early on. A layup by Lewis put the Knights up 6-4 and Neumann never trailed again. The Knights held a small lead throughout the rest of the first half. Neumann's largest lead of the half came just before the break as Thompson hit a three-pointer for a 35-26 advantage at the break.
 
Vaughns hit the first basket of the second half for a double-digit lead for the Knights. Leading by 16, 63-47, with 8:46 left in regulation, the Mighty Macs hit two straight three-pointers to cut the lead to 10. A layup-and-one with 3:21 on the clock brought Immaculata within six, 68-62. Vaughns answered with a layup, and Little hit a three to get the lead back to double-digits, 73-62, with just over a minute on the clock. In the final minute of action, the Knights went 6-for-6 from the line, with four from Thompson and two from Keel, to seal the win.
 
Neumann (5-12, 3-1 Atlantic East) will host Marywood on Wednesday for a conference doubleheader with women. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 PM.
