ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team defeated Centenary University 3-0 on Wednesday evening in an Atlantic East Conference match. Set scores were 25-11, 25-15 and 25-12.
Melissa Eddy had a .400 hitting percentage and 10 kills in the match.
Taylor Long tallied nine kills and a .375 hitting percentage.
Nayeli Cruz also nine kills and hit .400.
Dani Smith handed out 40 assists.
Jenna Jones dished out four service aces.
Hannah Strohm finished with 10 digs.
The Knights jumped out early in the first set and a kill by Eddy gave Neumann the 25-11 win. The Knights used a few big runs in set two and a kill by Long put the Knights head 2-0 by a 25-15 score.
Set three was no different and
Julia Solomon sealed the match with a kill for the 25-12 set and 3-0 match win.
Neumann (11-14, 5-1 Atlantic East) heads to York (Pa.) on Saturday for a tri-match with Virginia Wesleyan. Action for the Knights get underway at 12:00 PM.
