ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's hockey team picked up a convincing 5-1 win against Arcadia University, 5-1, on Friday evening in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) action.
The Knights took the win with five-different goal scorers.
Zach Thompson lit the lamp first with the lone goal in the first period.
Ben Gibbons and
Chase Cochran drew the assists.
Tony Andrews made the game 2-0 1:31 into the second period off assists from
Tyler Inlow and
Luke Croucher.
PJ Demitrio found the back of the net on the man-advantage at the 5:12 mark of the second. Croucher picked up his second helper of the game.
Judd Katz scored his first goal as a Knight midway through the period for a 4-0 lead.
Matt Dimaline and
Lucas Culhane tallied the assists. Arcadia broke through in the final minute of the period with a power play goal for a 4-1 game heading into the second intermission.
Culhane scored his first goal at Neumann 5:40 into the third, with assists from
Zack Smith and Dimaline, to wrap up the scoring.
Cole DeFazio made 32 saves in net for the win.
Neumann (2-0-1, 2-0-1 MAC) and Arcadia will face-off again tomorrow afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM.
