ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Berkeley College 97-85 on Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
 
DJ Earl led five Knights in double-digits with 26 points, including five three-pointers. He also grabbed nine rebounds. TJ Lewis netted 23 points. Nigel Burch tallied 13 points and nine boards off the bench. Gary Francis and Bryan Etienne each added 10 points.
 
Berkeley came out quickly and took an early 12-3 lead three minutes into the game. Berkeley's largest lead was 11, 32-21, midway through the half. Neumann started to make its move with five minutes left before halftime. Down by nine, 40-31, the Knights went on a 21-2 run to end the half and take a 52-42 lead at the break. A layup by Lewis put Neumann in the lead during the run.
 
Neumann scored the first 10 points of the second half to extend its lead to 20, 62-42. The Knights led by as many as 27 in the second half as they came away with the 97-85 win.
 
Neumann (5-3) host Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM.
