ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Soccer team, on Wednesday evening, will take on No. 3 seeded Immaculata University, in the Atlantic East Conference tournament semifinals as the No.2 seed.
The Knights closed out the regular season with an overall record of 8-6-4, and a conference record of 5-1, good enough to earn second place in the circuit.
Alex Duopu and
Jake Kuzmick were the top scorers with seven goals and two assists each, although Duopu had three game-winning goals.
Zion Atta-Krah was right behind with four goals.
Nick LoBiondo led with four assists.
Jackson Laznik was 5-4-4 in goal with three shutouts, a goals against average of 1.06, and a .791 save percentage.
Carson Metzger also had a 1.06 goals against average with a 2-2 record, one shutout, and an .840 save percentage.
In their only regular season meeting, Neumann came away with a 3-0 road victory on October 23. Kuzmick,
Luke Mejia, and Duopu were the goal scorers while Laznik made five saves for the clean sheet.
The other semifinalists, No. 1 Marymount and No. 4 Marywood, will meet in Arlington, Va. The winners will battle for the Atlantic East Conference crown on Saturday, with the winner also getting an NCAA National Tournament automatic bid.
