ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision in their MAC Conference opener against Lebanon Valley College on Friday evening.
After a scoreless first period, Lebanon Valley got on the board at the 12:47 mark of the second to take a 1-0 lead. They doubled their lead with 49 seconds left in the period to take a two goal lead into the third. 2:30 into the final period, they struck again and picked up their fourth goal 3:35 later. They closed out the scoring with 7:59 remaining.
Lily Inoue led the Knights' offensive effort with five shots, two on goal. Three players had four shot as
Charlotte Labre had three on goal,
Jamiyah Alexander had two shots on goal, and
Brooke Markley had one on goal.
Noelle Woodard made 35 saves in goal.
Neumann (1-2, 0-1 MAC) will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, again against Lebanon Valley College for a 2:00 PM start.
