ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team suffered a 4-0 MAC Conference loss against Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon.
Lebanon Valley got on the board midway through the first period and grabbed a power play goal with 2:29 left for a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. After a scoreless second, Neumann went on the power play with eight minutes left in the third. They had great chances to score but the Flying Dutchwomen scored shorthanded for a three- goal lead. They added one more at the 13:43 mark to sweep the weekend's two-game series.
Kaila Booth led the Knights' attack with seven shots, five on goal.
Lian Sydorowicz had five shots with three on goal while
Charlotte Labre,
Lily Inoue, and
Kaylynn Savoy each took four shots.
Emma Tauken and
Gia Santorello led the way defensively with five and four blocked shots, respectively.
Sydney Babin made 46 saves in goal.
Neumann (1-3, 0-2 MAC) will be back in action on Friday night when they visit Arcadia University in the front end of a home-and-home series. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
