READING, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) rival, Alvernia University on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Wolves scored while shorthanded with 8:36 left in the first for the only score of the period. They put two more on the board in the middle period, both at even strength, for a 3-0 lead. 94 seconds into the third, Alvernia scored while on the power play to seal the game.
Christine Worms and
Kaylynn Savoy led the Neumann offensive effort with two shots each.
Gia Santorello and
Trish Dan contributed defensively with two blocks each.
Noelle Woodard made 30 saves in goal.
Neumann (2-6-2, 1-5-2 MAC) will return to the ice on Tuesday, January 7
th when they visit Albertus Magnus College for a non-conference game starting at 3:00 PM.
