PITTSTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to Wilkes University in a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) game on Saturday afternoon.
After an evenly played first 15 minutes, Wilkes got on the board on a power play goal. In the second, The Colonels scored three times, including a power play goal with 2:32 left in the frame, taking a four goal lead heading into the third. Wilkes picked up another power play goal at the 5:12 of the third to close out the game.
Kaila Booth led the offense attack for the Knights with three shots on goal.
Gia Santorello had a strong two-way game with two shots and three blocks.
Emma Tauken and
Kaylee Voss also blocked three shots.
Ella Sciborski made 38 saves in goal.
Neumann (4-17-2, 0-16-2 UCHC) will be back in action on Friday when they visit Stevenson University. Face-off in Owings Mills, Md. will be at 3:00 PM.
