ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Volleyball swept the University of Valley Forge in a non-conference match, 3-0, on Thursday night.
The first set started with Neumann scoring three of the first four points, but Valley Forge went on a 4-0 run to take a 5-3 lead. A 7-1 run, with the score at 13-10, pushed the Knights to a 20-11 lead, forcing a Valley Forge timeout. Although Valley Forge grabbed an early 2-1 lead, Neumann scored five of the next six to settle in to the second set with a 6-3 lead. With score at 7-6, the Knights went two-for-one over the next nine points to extend the lead to five. Neumann closed out the set with a 6-1 run, taking it 25-15.
