PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team defeated the University of Valley Forge in straight sets 3-0 on Tuesday evening. Set scores were 25-16, 25-19 and 26-24.
Five Knights had at least five kills in the match.

Trey Edmonds and
Victor John each tallied six while
Dan Barckholtz and
Isaiah Raye-Ryan notched five. Barckholtz handed out 15 assists and added nine digs.
The Knights opened the first set with a 6-1 lead. A kill by Barckholtz gave Neumann a 25-16 set one win. The Knights started the second set well with a 5-1 lead. The Patriots came back and took a 13-12 edge. Neumann answered with the next six points for an 18-13 lead. Another Barckholtz kill sealed the second set win, 25-19.
Valley Forge took initial control of the third set, 5-1. The Knights worked their way into the deficit and took an 8-7 lead. The Patriots built a 17-13 advantage, but Neumann tied the set at 17 in the back and forth set. The teams continued to go back and forth and were tied at 24. A kill and a service ace by Burns gave the Knights the 26-24 set three win and 3-0 match win.
Neumann (3-3) will host Marymount and Saint Elizabeth on Saturday for a tri-match. Action gets underway at 11:00 AM.
