WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team dropped a 4-1 decision at Wilkes University on Friday evening in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) action.
The Knights opened the scoring midway through the first period when
Gabby Massa found the back of the net off a pass from
Emma Tauken. Neumann took the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
The Colonels netted two power play goals in the second period to take a 2-1 edge. Wilkes added two more goals in the third period, including a shorthanded goal, for the 4-1 final.
Ella Sciborski made 42 saves in net for the Knights.
Gia Santorello led Neumann with three shots on goal.
Lian Sydorowicz blocked five shots.
Neumann (4-16-2, 0-15-2 UCHC) and Wilkes will face-off again tomorrow afternoon beginning at 3:30 PM.
