ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team traveled to Cedar Crest College on Wednesday evening and came home with a 16-3 win.
Nine different Knights scored in the win, led by
Lindsey Fagan with five goals and two assists.
Gia Caso,
Maggie Blemings, and
Cionni Warrington each netted two goals. Warrington,
Ainsley George, and
Rex Thenor each handed out two assists.
Maggie Miller picked up seven draw controls.
The Knights went 3-for-3 in free position shots. The defense stood strong, allowing just seven shots overall, four on net.
Catriona Corrigan and
Kortney Kaelin split time in net.
Neumann scored early as George and Caso each found the back of the net in the first three minutes of the game. Keeping the foot on the gas, the Knights held an 8-2 lead after the first 15 minutes.
The Knights tallied four goals in the second for a 12-2 lead at the half. Neumann added four more in the third. The Falcons scored the lone goal in the fourth for the 16-3 final.
Neumann (5-3) returns home on Saturday when it hosts DeSales. Action is slated to get underway at 12:00 PM.
