ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's volleyball team defeated Immaculata University 3-0 on Thursday evening in the 2024 home finale. Set scores were 25-15, 25-17, 25-22.
 
Trey Edmonds led the Knights with 17 kills, just two errors, and a .536 hitting percentage. Veryl Burns tallied 10 kills, one error, and a .750 hitting percentage. Dan Barckholtz handed out 33 assists. The graduate student also tallied two service aces to bring his season total to 32, setting a season record (Eric Van Horn, 30). Barkholtz and Brandon Baskerville each finished with eight digs.
 
Neumann took control early and built a 13-6 lead. A kill by Mason Fleisher gave the Knights a 25-15 first set win. Neumann kept the pace in set two. The Mighty Macs scored four straight points as the Knights were at set point, but an Edmonds kill sealed the 25-17 set two win.
 
Set three was a battle til the end as the teams traded points throughout. A kill by Edmonds put Neumann up 23-21. Three attack errors, one by Neumann and two by Immaculata, gave the Knights the 25-22 set three and 3-0 match win.
 
Neumann (13-8) heads to Wilkes on Saturday for a tri-match to wrap-up the season. The Knights will face Wilkes at 11:00 AM followed by Bryn Athyn at 1:00 PM.
