IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Immaculata University 7-2 in the final Atlantic East Conference regular season match on Tuesday afternoon.
The Knights opened by taking two-of-three in doubles actions.
Kylie Seeger and
Kannitha Phosouvanh-Sythong won third doubles 8-3. Sisters Dari and
Alura Troilo won by retirement at second doubles.
In singles action, the Knights won five-of-six.
Dari Troilo won 7-6 (10-7), 6-4 at second singles.
Rachel Frederick took third singles 6-1, 6-0.
Kayleigh DellaVecchio won sixth singles 6-1, 6-2.
Alura Troilo (third) and
Sha'xaria Gordon (fifth) both won their matches by retirement.
Neumann (6-5, 1-2 Atlantic East) will be the No. 3 seed in the postseason and will face No. 2 seeded Marywood on Friday afternoon in a semifinal match.
