GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University Outdoor Track and Field teams headed to Gwynedd Mercy University for day one of the Atlantic East Conference championships on Friday afternoon.
Kyleigh Joniec won the Javelin Throw as she put together a personal best throw of 30.71 meters.
Sydney Wilson also competed in the javelin with a 23.50 meter throw. Wilson also competed in the Hammer Throw and had a personal best of 23.67 meters.
Allison Siravo finished in third with a throw of 29.90.
In the 100-meter prelims,
Aniyah Holmes and
Kozette Quinn both qualified for the finals with times of 12.95 and 13.02 seconds.
Sahdahya Addy and
Quinaya Barker also competed and compiled personal best times of 13.84 and 14.87. Holmes and Quinn both also qualified for the finals in the 200-meter race as they had times of 26.87 and 26.90 seconds.
Janell Goldsmith had a time of 29.02 and
Neshaya Overton had a personal best of 31.16 seconds.
On the men's side,
Wyatt Boyer qualified for the finals of the 100-meter and 200-meter races. He had times of 11.22 in the 100 and 22.72 in the 200, both personal bests.
Nahshon Harrison-Fobbs also qualified for the 200-meter final with a time of 23.64. Rounding out the Knights' runners,
Trey Edmonds had a personal-nest time of 23.95 seconds in the 200. In the javelin,
Carlos Wylde-Gladbach had his best throw of 30.66 meters.
Neumann will continue to try and rack up top times and distances in the second day of the Atlantic East Conference championship on Saturday starting at 9:15 AM.
