GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Neumann University Outdoor Track & Field team continued to earn accolades and improve personal performance, on day two of the Atlantic East Conference Championships on Saturday, hosted by Gwynedd Mercy University.
Wyatt Boyer was the first winner of the day as he took home gold in the 400-meter race with a time of 50.52 seconds.
Nahshon Harrison-Fobbs and
Trey Edmonds also took part with times of 53.61 and 53.80. Boyer also grabbed a third-place finish in the 100-meter finals with a time of 11.17. Neumann's 4x400 relay team of Boyer, Harrison-Fobbs,
Hakeem Hall, and Edmonds earned third place with a final time of 3:35.82.
Aniyah Holmes,
Kozette Quinn,
Sahdahya Addy, and Janell Goldmsith combined to bring in the top time in the 4x100, finishing in 51.58 seconds.
Courtney Humphreys pulled off the double for the second consecutive year in winning both the 800 and the 1500-meter races, in times of 2:22.96 and 4:58.92.
Katie Baier also improved her times in those disciplines with times of 6:09.87 in the 1500, and 2:54.36 in the 800.
Quinn was a part of three second place finishes as she earned silver in both the 100 and 200-meter finals, with times of 13.13 and 26.38, and she was on the second place 4x400 team with Holmes, Humphreys, and Addy, who earned a time of 4:17.66. Holmes picked up another second-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.71.
Kyleigh Joniec finished with a 1:19.08. Holmes also qualified in the 100 and 200 and grabbed finals times of 13.26 and 27.15.
The women starred on the field as well as Addy had a long jump of 5.00 meters to finish second.
Allison Siravo also earned a silver as she competed well in the shot put with a toss of 9.44 meters.
Sydney Wilson was right behind with an 8.27. Both athletes also competed in the discus throw as Siravo threw a 23.59 and Wilson a 21.59.
Back on the men's side,
Christian Johnson threw the shot put 9.46 meters and Hall had a long jump of 5.79. Hall also ran the 400-meter hurdles and finished in 1:05.20. Boyer and Harrison-Fobbs worked the 200-meter with times of 22.66 and 23.63 seconds, respectively. Harrison-Fobbs, Edmonds, Hall, and Boyer had a time of 44.43 seconds in the 4x100.
Tim Connell appeared in both the 800 and 1500 and had times of 2:14.20 and 4:42.21.
Neumann will compete one last time on Monday, May 13 at 11:00 AM in the Widener Final Qualifier over in Chester, Pa.
