WENHAM, Mass. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team opened the 2024 season at the Gordon Tournament on Friday evening. The Knights faced MIT, falling 3-0. Set scores were 25-16, 25-10 and 25-13.
Nayeli Cruz led the Knights with five kills and
Julia Solomon tallied four in her Knights debut.
Dani Smith handed out nine assists and nine kills.
Hannah Strohm notched nine digs in her first match with Neumann.
The Knights and Engineers went back and forth in the first set. With Neumann leading 14-13, MIT scored seven straight points for a 20-14 advantage.
Neumann (0-1) continues action tomorrow and will face Lasell at 11:00 AM, followed by host Gordon at 1:00 PM.
