ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Field Hockey team succumbed to non-conference rivals, FDU- Florham in the second overtime by a final score of 3-2 on Saturday afternoon. This is the fourth overtime game for the Knights in their last six games played.
Neumann battled back-and-forth with FDU- Florham over the early going but gave up a goal in the 12th minute for the 1-0 deficit. That lead help until the third when, with 3:17 left, they were awarded a penalty corner. After a pass from

Gabriella Cappelli tied the game at one. 1:42 into the fourth, the Devils were able to retake the lead.
Six minutes into the fourth, on another corner,
Cadence Conti passed across the goal mouth to Cappelli and she pushed it home for her second of the game and seventh of the season, tying the game at two. After a scoreless first overtime, FDU- Florham scored on a deflection after a corner and took the game with 4:31 left to play.
Conti and Cappelli each took four shots with Conti getting three on goal and Cappelli getting two.
Victoria Millward took two shots as well.
Emma Schneider got the start in the goal and made two saves in the first half.
Caley Gee made one save after coming in at the break.
Neumann(3-7) will be back in action on Wednesday, October 9
th when they host Cedar Crest College in the final non-conference home game of the year. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
