COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team fell 3-0 at Ursinus College on Wednesday evening. Set scores were 25-11, 25-13 and 25-20.
Melissa Eddy tallied seven kills and eight digs for the Knights.
Julia Solomon added six.
Dani Smith handed out 16 assists.
The Bears used runs in the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead. Leading 10-9, Ursinus scored 10 of the next 11 points for a 20-10 advantage. The Knights tallied the next five points, including two service aces from Smith. The Bears answered with the next four points. Neumann didn't go quietly and tallied five more points before dropping the set on a service error.
Neumann (0-4) heads to Washington College on Saturday for a tri-match. The Knights will face the host at 11:00 AM, followed by Stockton at 1:00 PM.
