BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up its sixth straight win, defeating Pratt Institute 86-74 on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic East Conference action.
Mike Smith, III led the Knights with 20 points.
TJ Lewis netted 17 points in the win.
Donte Dupriest notched another double-double, his fifth straight, with 15 rebounds and 14 points.
Gary Francis also scored 14 points and grabbed nine boards.
Bryan Etienne added 11 points off the bench.
The Knights opened the game by scoring the first eight points, including two three-pointers by Smith. The Cannoneers would get as close as five, 38-33, with 2:11 left in the first half. Neumann closed out the half going 3-for-4 from the free throw line for a 41-33 lead at the break.
Dupriest opened the second half with a layup to put Neumann up by double-digits. The Knights would hold a double-digit lead for most of the second half and led by as many as 19 en route to the 86-74 win.
Neumann (13-4, 4-0 Atlantic East) heads to Marymount on Wednesday evening for more Atlantic East action beginning at 7:00 PM.
