OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team dropped an 8-0 decision at Oswego State on Friday evening in the first game of the 2025 Holiday Classic.
 
The Lakers opened the scoring 7:11 into the game. They added a second goal just two-and-a-half minutes later. Oswego tallied a power play goal before intermission for a 3-0 lead after one.
 
Oswego added three more goals in the second, including a short-handed goal, for a 6-0 score. The Lakers netted two more goals in the third period for the 8-0 final.
 
Matt Dimaline won 11 faceoffs and PJ Demitrio tallied 10 wins. Max Donohoe put three shots on goal. Luke Croucher had two pucks go on net. The Knights blocked 14 shots.
 
Cole DeFazio started the game in net and made 18 saves over the first 28+ minutes. Logan Gorbitz had 21 saves in his 31 minutes between the pipes.  
 
Neumann (7-2-2) will face Lebanon Valley tomorrow afternoon in the consolation game beginning at 1:00 PM.
