ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team were handed a 6-1 loss in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) contest against Wilkes University on Friday night.
Wilkes picked up a power play goal at the halfway point of the first period and added an even strength goal three minutes later. In the second period, the Colonels added two more goals 2:13 apart for a 4-0 lead. They added another with 15:34 left in the third. With 5:31 left in regulation, Neumann went on a 5-on-3 power play and were able to convert.
Gabby Massa scored her first goal of the season on a goal mouth scramble to get the Knights on the board. Wilkes closed the scoring with 33 seconds left.
Kaila Booth and Massa notched two shots on goal each to lead the Knights.

Lian Sydorowicz, and
Lily Inoue had strong defensive games with three blocked shots each.
Sydney Babin made 44 saves in goal.
Neumann (4-11-3, 3-9-3 MAC) will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Alvernia University at 2:00 PM.
