HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and three Neumann University athletes were among the recognized.
AJ Henry from Men's Soccer was named Defensive Player of the Week while his teammate,
Victor John earned a spot on the Honor Roll. Women's Volleyball's
Julia Solomon was also placed on the weekly Honor Roll.
Henry made four saves as Neumann opened conference action with a 1-0 win over Marywood, in the Knights' lone game of the week. The senior made the crucial saves needed to pick up his third shutout of the season. This is his third weekly award this season and his second Defensive Player of the Week nod.
John scored the lone goal in the win over Marywood on Saturday afternoon. The junior's first goal of the season came at just the right time, as he scored in the 82nd minute to break the scoreless stalemate.
Solomon tallied 20 kills and a .529 hitting percentage in a 3-2 win at Arcadia in the Knight's lone match of the week. In 34 attempts, the sophomore had just two errors. She also had two block assists and two digs. This is the second weekly Honor Roll selection of her career.
