ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team suffered an 11-1 decision against Arcadia University in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) game on Saturday afternoon.
Arcadia powered ahead with their first goal, on the power play, at the 2:11 mark of the first period. They added four more goals in the period, closed by another power play goal with 3:04 remaining on the clock. With 2:32 left, Neumann got on the board as
Chloe Ballew picked up her first collegiate goal.
Marissa Rumsey and
Charlotte Labre earned assists and they went into the intermission with a 5-1 deficit.
Arcadia pulled ahead further in the second with four more goals over the next 20 minutes. They added two more goals in the third, with one occurring on a power play.
Liberty Pink led Neumann with three shots on goal. Lucie Velinska,
Paige Russell, and Ballew added two shots each.
Alyssa Papasodero,
Madison Paglia, and Rumsey blocked three shots each.
Noelle Woodard got the start in goal and made 14 saves over 17 minutes of play.
Brook Adams finished up and made 39 saves.
Neumann (0-6, 0-4 MAC) will be back in action on Friday night when they visit King's College for a 7:00 PM start.
