HERSHEY, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey fell in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) contest against Lebanon Valley College on Saturday night by a final score of 4-1.
The Flying Dutchwomen got in the board at the 6:47 mark on a quick break into the zone, giving the a 1-0 lead. They doubled their lead with 7:53 to go in the second, then added another on the power play with 3:08 left in the third. 20 seconds later, Lucie Velinská got Neumann on the board with her first collegiate goal, assisted by
Charlotte Labre. Lebanon Valley iced the game with an empty net goal with 23 seconds left in the third.
Kenna Sanders led the Knights with three shots while
Gia Santorello had two, along with a team-high six blocked shots.
Adriana O'Heron and Labre blocked three shots each.
Noelle Woodard made 49 saves in goal.
Neumann (0-4, 0-2) will return to action next Saturday afternoon when they host Arcadia University. Puck drop from the IceWorks Skating Complex is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
