READING, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Hockey team picked up a 5-2 win on Saturday against their Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) rivals, Alvernia University.

At the 9:44 mark in the first period, the Knights got on the board as Tyler Ray wristed it through the goalie. Chase Cochran and Dexton Mozell earned assists as Neumann took a 1-0 lead. Three minutes later, Matt Dimaline found the puck in the slot and deposited it in the back of the net to make it a two-goal lead. Alvernia responded with 1:29 left in the first to make it 2-1 after the first 20 minutes.

Just 18 seconds into the second, Neumann got the two-goal lead back as Max Donohoe found a rebound while the teams were 4-on-4. He slipped it to Dimaline behind the net who scored on a wraparound for his second of the game and fifth of the year. At 9:55, Ray notched his season of the game and seventh of the season as he took a wrist shot from the left point. Zack Smith and PJ Demitrio got the assists as the Knights made it 4-1.

With five minutes left in the period, Lucas Culhane intercepted a pass and slipped it to Donohoe who lifted in his sixth of the year to extend the lead to four heading into the final stanza. Alvernia picked up a goal five minutes into the third but couldn't get any closer.
