Knights Celebrate Senior Day with Win

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team wrapped up the 2024-25 regular season with a 9-3 win over Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon in MAC action.
 
Prior to the game, the Knights honored their senior class: Max Mila, Dexton Mozell, PJ Demitrio, Luke Croucher, Tyson Rohrer, Tyler Inlow, Zach Thompson and Cameron Hatziioannou.
 
Mozell, Matt Dimaline and Lucas Culhane all scored two goals in the game. Demitrio handed out three assists. Dimaline, Croucher and Mila all finished with a pair of assists. Logan Gorbitz made 18 saves in net for the win.
 
The Knights took control of the game by scoring three goals in the first period. Culhane opened the scoring on the power play 7:16 into the game. Croucher and Max Donohoe drew the assists. Zack Smith found the back of the net three-and-a-half minutes later. Demitrio and Dimaline tallied the assists. Dustin Patterson put Neumann up 3-0 with 4:45 left before intermission off assists from Inlow and Ben Gibbons.
 
Dimaline made the score 4-0 off a pass from Demitrio 6:28 into the second period. Lebanon Valley scored the next two goals for a 4-2 score. Dimaline scored his second goal with 1:11 on the clock. Demitrio and Smith drew the assists for a 5-2 game after two periods.
 
Culhane found the back of the net for his second goal 4:48 into the third period. Croucher and Abram Snider tallied the assists. Mozell scored back-to-back power play goals for an 8-2 game with less than five minutes left on the clock.
 
Tony Andrews capped the scoring with an unassisted shorthanded goal with 1:45 remaining for the 9-3 final.
 
Neumann (16-6-3, 13-5-3 MAC) will be the No. 3 seed in the postseason and will travel to No. 2 seeded Stevenson University next weekend for semifinal action.
