COLMAR, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Hockey team suffered an 8-0 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) loss at Arcadia University on Thursday night.
Arcadia got on the board 5:48 into the game on a rebound power play goal. Almost five minutes later, Arcadia doubled their lead as the puck snuck in for a 2-0 lead. Six minutes into the second period, Arcadia struck again on a tight-in wrister for the three-goal edge. They made it 4-0 with 9:32 left in the period. Arcadia notched one more with 47 seconds left in the period to lead by five. They added three more in the third to close to game.
Kaylynn Savoy led the way with five shots, all on goal.
Emma Tauken had a game-high eight blocked shots.
Brooke Markley totaled five blocks while
Lily Inoue had four.
Charlotte Labre won five of the six faceoffs she took, and
Christine Worms won five of seven.
Sydney Babin made 43 saves in goal.
Neumann (4-13-3, 3-11-3 MAC) will try to get back into the win column on Saturday afternoon in Maryland when they visit Stevenson University for a 3:00 PM start.
