The second set started similarly to the first with the Knights carrying a 5-4 lead. Wilson would then take command with a 17-5 run, including a stretch of six in a row, for a 20-9 lead. Although Neumann would get within seven, they fell in the set, 25-16.

Wilson pulled ahead in the third with an 8-5 lead, but the Knights would fight back to pull within one at 12-11. The Phoenix used a 5-2 run to extend their lead, but Neumann grabbed seven of the next eight points to take a late 20-19 lead.
