ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis picked up its first win of the spring, taking a 6-1 decision over Notre Dame of Maryland University on Tuesday afternoon.
In doubles action, Neumann won two of three matches to take the point.
Sha'xaria Gordon and
Casey McGee took second singles 6-0.
Kaitlyn Smith and
Juliet Schilling won 6-4 at third doubles.
Alura Troilo and
Kayleigh DellaVecchio battled at first doubles but fell 7-6 (7-3).
Troilo won her match at first singles 6-1, 6-0. Gordon (second) and Smith (third) both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. DellaVecchio took fourth singles 6-4, 6-0.
Molly McGee rounded out the afternoon winning sixth singles 6-0, 6-2.
Neumann (1-5) remains at home and will host Penn State Brandywine on Thursday afternoon, beginning at 3:30 PM.
