TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently released their Division III Scholar Athletes and All-Academic teams for 2024-25 and Neumann University's Men's and Women's squad were among the recognized. Additionally, both the men's and women's squads were named ITA All-Academic teams.
Eleven members of the men's team were named Scholar Athletes.
Joe Troilo and
Anthony Carpinella were honored with this distinction for the fourth time in their collegiate career.
Logan Gorbitz,
Tony Andrews, and
Dylan Stiteler have earned three awards while
Jason Petrin,
Daniel Bonowski, and
Adam Barisa have been honored twice.
Chandler Wolf,
Luca Troilo, and
Trevor Lodge were recognized for the first time.
The women's squad had five of their athletes earn ITA Scholar Athlete status in 2024-25. Both
Kayleigh DellaVecchio and
Alura Troilo were honored for the third time in their careers.
Kaitlyn Smith picked up her second such award with
Juliet Schilling and
Molly McGee being honored for the first time.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institution eligibility form. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
