ASTON, Pa. - Neumann University Director of Athletics and Recreation, John Krimmel, is proud to announce Marc Poust has been named the new Head Coach for the Men's Lacrosse program.
Krimmel says, "Marc Poust is the perfect fit for our Men's Lacrosse program as we head into our last year in the Atlantic East and move into the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) starting in the Fall of 2026. His background as an elite player while playing for a nationally ranked program gives him the experience and knowledge needed to take Neumann Men's Lacrosse to the next level. Marc is as genuine of a person that you will find and is a true players coach. His passion for the game is infectious and he brings a strong recruiting background to our program while being an assistant coach in the Centennial Conference. I cannot wait to see all that Coach Poust and our Men's Lacrosse program accomplish on and off of the field. It's a new era in Neumann Men's Lacrosse and I am excited to have Coach Poust leading our young men."
Marc comes to Neumann from Ursinus College, where he served as an assistant for the last three seasons. In a very competitive league, he helped produce eight All- Centennial Conference players and one honorably mentioned USILA All-American.
Poust remarked, "I'm truly honored and humbled to be named the new leader of the Men's Lacrosse program at Neumann University. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to John Krimmel, Dave Deal, Dr. Domes, Dr. Wellington, and Scott Bogard for believing in me and entrusting me with this incredible opportunity. I'm also deeply thankful to all the coaches and players—past and present—who have helped shape my journey in this sport and prepared me for this moment. Most importantly, I want to thank my family and my amazing girlfriend Megan for their unwavering love and support every step of the way."
As a player, Marc had a storied career at Stevenson University in Maryland. While a Mustang, he was the starting goalkeeper for four of his five seasons. He still ranks among the top in program history in a number of categories. His 492 career saves puts him third in program history. He's also 10th in save percentage and seventh in goals against average. In 2022, he made 193 saves to put him sixth in a single season at Stevenson.
"My experience as a Division III student-athlete shaped me into the man I am today.", said Poust. "I faced my share of adversity, made mistakes, and grew through it all — learning resilience, accountability, and how to lead with purpose. Those experiences gave me the wisdom to help our student-athletes succeed not just at Neumann, but in life. I'm committed to guiding them through the same journey of growth, both on and off the field."
He was a two-time USILA All-American, earning third team honors in 2021 and honorable mention in 2022. Poust earned IMLCA All-Region honors in 2021 and was a two-time All-MAC Commonwealth second team selection. He also was a star in the classroom after being named a USILA Scholar All-American in 2021 and a two-time Academic All-MAC selection.
Poust earned his bachelor's degree in legal studies from Stevenson in May 2022. He earned Stevenson's Fighting Heart Award in 2021 which is given out to the student-athlete who has overcome the odds and showed perseverance in their life, on or off the field. He was also featured in USA Lacrosse Magazine's UNTOLD series in May 2022. (https://www.usalacrosse.com/magazine/marc-poust-more-game)
A graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School in 2014, he is the career boy's lacrosse saves leader in Pennsylvania state history with 1056. He was a three-time All-Conference selection, an All-State pick, and a two-time NSCLA All-American.
When asked about what kind of head coach he would like to be, Poust responded, "My mission as head coach is to build a program grounded in high character, relentless work ethic, and a commitment to growth in every area of life—on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. I want our players to take pride in representing Neumann University the right way, and to be part of something bigger than themselves. Together, we will create a culture that resonates with players, families, and alumni—one that leaves a lasting legacy. As we enter into our final season in the Atlantic East and begin our transition into the Middle Atlantic Conference, we are setting our sights on national prominence. It won't happen overnight, but I'm fully committed to that journey and to building something truly memorable here at Neumann. Go Knights!"
Here is what has been said about Marc Poust by some notable figures in his career:
"Aristotle said, "Personal beauty is a greater recommendation than any letter of reference."
This is the perfect description for Marc. He is a truly special individual, and I was overjoyed to hear about his first head coaching job. There's something about Marc that sets him apart — his genuine care, his attentive listening, and his commitment to looking after those around him.
Marc possesses a quiet yet serious demeanor. He has a profound understanding of the game and is on his way to becoming one of the best young coaches in the field. When you meet Marc, you feel cared for, you feel like he listening to you and you know he's there for you.
Marc is a potential game-changer for Neumann's athletic department. His arrival promises a shift in culture, mentality, and a winning attitude. Above all, he brings a sense of love and understanding that will benefit all his colleagues and the players fortunate enough to be under his guidance.

Marc was not only an outstanding player for Stevenson University, he was an outstanding leader. He understood and embraced the demands of a perennial nationally ranked team and had the keen ability to expect the best from himself and his teammates. Marc as a coach will also embrace the high demands of recruiting to bring the very best student-athletes to the program. In my new role as Deputy Executive Director of the MAC, I am looking forward to seeing great things for Neumann University Lacrosse.

It's an honor to commit to paper the person we have grown to appreciate, and our son has grown to respect. In a world focused on division and personal gain, Coach Poust has shown the opposite. His selflessness, kindness, grace and passion for lacrosse has helped our son become the man he is today. Certainly, his departure from Ursinus as an assistant coach was bittersweet, but we support him fully as he has sprouted his wings to become a head coach at Neumann University. His focus on team and commitment to honor, teamwork, family and grit, made him the ideal leader for our son and now for an entire program! Coach Poust is not just a Coach but is truly family. We wish him much success and know he will give 100% to any athlete and athletic program he has the privilege to be a part of.
With much love, support and pride!

Coach Poust has been the greatest role model any lacrosse player and person could have asked for. His infectious energy, relentless work ethic, and unwavering leadership were valuable to the success of our program on and off the field. He turns young men into leaders and any program is extremely lucky to have him at the helm. I would not be the man or player I am today without his impact.
