GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team secured a 3-2 victory over Arcadia University on Wednesday afternoon.

After a scoreless first quarter, Arcadia struck first 1:50 into the second quarter and added a second goal with three minutes left before halftime. Neumann finally broke through a minute later with a goal from Cadence Conti, assisted by Natalia Thomas and the teams went into the break with a 2-1 score.

Conti scored her second goal of the game in the 38th minute to equalize the score. Jess Silver drew the assist. Three minutes later, Gabriella Cappelli capitalized on an opportunity, giving Neumann a 3-2 lead. The Knights maintained pressure with additional attempts, including a blocked shot by Ayla Mergen and a wide attempt by Natalie Hackett. Arcadia managed a blocked shot and a defensive save by Jamie Reed but could not find the equalizer before the quarter ended.

In the fourth quarter, Neumann generated offensive pressure with three penalty corners by Mergen, but they were unable to convert any into goals.
