Gabriella Cappelli scored both Knights goals, placing four of her five shots on goal.
Jess Silver assisted on both goals, adding two total shots, both testing the goalkeeper.
Caley Gee earned the win in goal with seven saves.
Neumann carried the play early on and on a corner Cappelli inserted to Silver, who immediately passed it back and she wasted no time in scoring for the 1-0 lead just 7:44 into the game. In the 14
th minute, Eastern responded with their own goal from a penalty corner.
The dead lock held all the way to the fourth quarter but in the early stages the Knights took the lead for good. 1:15 into the period, Cappelli and Silver combined again on the same corner play as Neumann's first goal. Despite being pressed in their own defensive third of the field, the Knights defense held on, and they picked up their first ever win against the Eagles.
Neumann (6-3) will try to extend their win streak on Friday when they visit FDU-Florham for a 7:00 PM start.
