ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Field Hockey team hosted Drew University in their home opener on Saturday afternoon but dropped a 3-0 decision in a non-conference clash.
 
The Knights controlled play over the first 10 minutes of the match, gaining six penalty corners in a row, but they could not convert that pressure into a goal as the game was scoreless after the first quarter. In the 23^rd minute, Drew was able to break through with a rebound goal for a 1-0 lead. The Rangers added another goal three minutes into the third. They completed their offense with a penalty stroke goal in the 52^nd minute to seal the game.
 
Gabriella Cappelli led the Neumann effort with six shots, two of them on goal. Ayla Mergen also had two shot on the cage while Natalie Zoffer and Natalie Hackett. Caley Gee kept the Knights in the game with seven saves.
 
Neumann (1-2) will be back in action on Wednesday night as they host Albright College for a 7:00 PM start.
