ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) game to Wilkes University 6-0 on Friday evening.
The Colonels opened the scoring midway through the first period. Wilkes added two goals in the second and three in the third for the 6-0 final.
Noelle Woodard made 29 saves in net in the start, including sliding across the crease in the second keeping the game 2-0 at the time.
Brook Adams made nine saves in nine minutes in relief in the third period.
The Knights blocked 20 shots, led by
Sammie Haun with four. Haun and
Kaila Booth each had two shots in net. Neumann also kept Wilkes off the board while on the power play, going 0-for-5.
Neumann (5-10, 3-8 MAC) and Wilkes will face-off tomorrow in the second MAC game of the weekend. Action is slated to get underway at 2:00 PM.
