ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team fell to Wilkes University 7-0 on Saturday afternoon in the second game of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) weekend series.
Noelle Woodard made 39 saves in the start in net.
Brook Adams made 17 saves in the final eight minutes between the pipes for a combined 56 saves for the Neumann goalies.
Gia Santorello blocked five shots.
The teams played to a scoreless first period. The Colonels scored at the 3:52 mark of the second period and held the 1-0 lead at the second intermission.
Wilkes scored a power play goal 20 seconds into the third period and went on to add five more goals for the 7-0 final.
Neumann (5-11-0, 3-9-0 MAC) hosts Hood next weekend in MAC action. The game on Friday is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
