ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up an 86-70 win over Centenary University on Saturday afternoon on Atlantic East Conference action.
Donte Dupriest tallied a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
Jayson Love picked up 20 points.
Jarell Keel added 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Cyclones scored the first five points of the game. A free throw by Dupriest tied the game at seven with 15:25 on the clock. Tied at 12, the Knights scored seven straight points. Centenary then went on a run, and the teams were tied at 21 with 7:14 left before halftime.
The Knights' next run was 11-2 for a 34-23 advantage.
DJ Earl finished the scoring for the half and Neumann took a 38-31 lead into the break.
Neumann opened the second half with another 11-2 run to take a 49-33 lead. The Knights continued to build on their lead and with 12:18 on the clock, a layup by Dupriest made the score 65-43.
The Knights would lead by as many as 24 in the second half and cruised to the 86-70 conference win.
Neumann (12-5, 4-2 Atlantic East) will host Pratt Institute on Wednesday evening. The conference game is slated to tip-off at 6:00 PM.
