ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team completed a weekend series sweep with a 3-1 win over Hilbert College on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Hawks scored first, 2:29 into the second period. Four minutes later, Gia Santorello stole the puck in the neutral zone and took the puck to the net to tie the game on the unassisted goal.
 
Midway through the second, Kenna Sanders scored her first goal of the season for a 2-1 Neumann advantage. Santorello and Charlotte Labre drew the assists on the power play tally.
 
Early in the third period, Sammie Haun scored an insurance goal. Santorello tallied her second assist of the game as the Knights went up 3-1.
 
Brook Adams made 15 saves in net for her first collegiate win. Haun went 9-for-12 in the faceoff circle while Labre was 8-for-11.
 
Neumann (4-8) is back in conference action next week when it heads to Stevenson for a pair of games. Action on Friday evening gets underway at 7:00 PM.
